Schneider Ride of Pride Trucks Honor U.S. Military Veterans

Recently, Schneider National brought one of their vehicles for a recruiting visit to Truck Driver Institute just in time for us to share this short video clip for Veteran’s Day.

The Ride of Pride program originated in 2001 when a shift manager and U.S. veteran working at Freightliner proposed the project as a way to honor military veterans.

The 2015 U.S. Ride of Pride truck is a Freightliner Cascadia, and it showcases imagery of each military branch from World Wars I and II, Korea, and Vietnam. The doors on each side read, Honoring all who have served; and the hood honors prisoners of war (POWs) and those missing in action (MIA).

Because of Schneider’s ongoing commitment to the military, Freightliner has awarded a record nine Ride of Pride trucks to its fleet.

Our hats are off to Schneider National for their commitment to hiring veterans – 28% of their company drivers have military experience. And on this Veterans’ Day, Truck Driver Institute is proud to salute all U.S. military veterans and thank you for your service to our country.
