CDL Truck Driving School Dallas & Fort Worth Texas

Truck Driver Institute’s Dallas campus is widely-known as one of the most respected truck driving schools in Texas. With top-of-the-line equipment, modern facilities and industry-leading instructors, it’s not hard to see why so many students and carriers choose TDI Dallas as their training partner.

We’ve been serving the Dallas/Fort Worth area for over 8 years at our 70 acre campus. Co-located with Werner Enterprises, our Dallas truck driving school is an open campus, meaning you get to choose which carrier you want to work for after you’ve completed your training.

Our 15 day training program is designed for people with no trucking experience but want to complete their Commercial Driver’s License training in as little time as possible.

Courses are 5 days a week with a mixture of classroom and behind-the-wheel training to ensure that you leave our training facilities with the skills, knowledge and experience that major transportation companies are looking for from their rookie drivers.

While training at our Dallas CDL Truck Driving School, you will learn both the technical and the operational aspects of driving a semi-truck. Some of the technical information you will learn will include maintaining driver logs, reading maps, trip planning and conducting a pre-trip safety inspection of your vehicle. The hands-on portion of our training program puts you behind the wheel of a full-sized 18 wheeler while you learn shifting techniques, turning maneuvers and safely backing up the vehicle. Once you’ve mastered handling of the tractor trailer forwards and backwards, you’ll be tested for your Texas Class A CDL License!

Our Dallas Truck Driving School Location

Our Dallas location is conveniently located right off of I-20 with easy access from anywhere in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area, making it easy to commute for your daily CDL training classes.

Don’t Live In the Dallas/Fort Worth Area?
Many of our students live out of area but still choose our Texas truck driving school because of the high-quality training and established partnerships with major carriers throughout the United States. That’s why we offer lodging for our out-of-town students.
